

Karin was Vice President for Advancement at Smith from 1999 to 2005 where she led the College's $425 million campaign, This is about Smith. In 1995, Karin was appointed vice president for development at Vassar leading its campaign to a successful close with a total of $206 million. She had also served as director of the annual fund and special gifts at Vassar from 1991 to 1999. She began her career at St. Lawrence University in 1986 as assistant director and, in 1989, director of annual giving.
Karin serves a diverse range of clients for WASHBURN & McGOLDRICK. She has also led various training programs in the United Kingdom and helped organize and lead a study trip to Canada in 2005 for United Kingdom Vice Chancellors and Pro Vice Chancellors sponsored by CASE Europe and the Leadership Foundation.
Karin was a trustee of the Council for the Advancement and Support of Education (CASE) and served as chair of the Committee on the Profession. She was a member of the faculty of CASE's Summer Institute in Educational Fundraising and Advancement Management Institute. Karin served as the Chair of CASE's Minority Advancement Institute from 2006-2008. She is a recipient of CASE's distinguished Steuben Apple Award for teaching excellence.
Karin earned her BA in art history from Smith College.
